Benjamin Lewin specializes in the sale and 1031 exchange of multi-family properties in West Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a bachelor's degree in Geography. He began his career in commercial real estate in Santa Barbara, working with the region's top brokerage team.
Benjamin markets to qualified local and regional investors using his comprehensive knowledge of West LA. He also uses the Marcus & Millichap network to reach national and international 1031 exchange buyers. He and his team have closed over 500 transactions with over $1.25 billion in total consideration.
Benjamin's success can be attributed to his strategic management of every aspect of his transactions. First Vice President/Regional Manager
James Markel is a Vice President and the Regional Manager of Marcus & Millichap’s Encino, Bakersfield, Fresno and Ventura offices. He joined the firm as an agent in 1999, specializing in the sale of multifamily assets. In 2004, James left Marcus & Millichap to run his own boutique brokerage company in conjunction with a successful national syndication company. He rejoined Marcus & Millichap as Sales Manager of the Encino office in 2013 and was appointed to Associate Regional Manager in 2015 and to Regional Manager in 2016.
James graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in international business.

Executive Managing Director Capital Markets
Sharone Sabar joined the Encino office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. (MMCC) in December 2006. As a Senior Managing Director Capital Markets with MMCC, Mr. Sabar is responsible for securing commercial debt and equity financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office and industrial, retail, seniors housing and hospitality. He is well connected with national, regional and local funding sources including, but not limited to, agency lenders (e.g. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and bridge lenders.
Mr. Sabar has more than 14 years of commercial real estate finance experience. He has closed more than $2 billion in loan transactions. Mr. Sabar began his career with MMCC as a loan underwriter and analyst for the Large Loan Group in the firm’s West Los Angeles office, and relocated to the Encino office in 2007. He was promoted to Director in 2010, Vice President Capital Markets in 2012 and to Senior Managing Director Capital Markets in 2017.
During his career with MMCC, Mr. Sabar has earned national achievement awards and sales recognition awards in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 and has also received sales recognition awards in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. In 2008 Mr. Sabar was nominated by Real Estate Southern California magazine as one of the Best and Brightest Rising Stars of Commercial Real Estate in its Under 30’ issue. He was consistently ranked as one of the Encino office’s top 10 commercial real estate professionals since 2007 and ranked nationally as a top 5 loan originator in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020. Mr. Sabar is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he earned a degree in business finance.

Operations Manager
Jesica began her career at Marcus & Millichap in June 2006 in the Encino office as a Brokerage Services Administrator. She became a Certified Agent Support Trainer in January 2008 and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2012. Jesica enjoys interacting with the diverse agent personalities and works hard to maintain Encino’s status as one of the most productive offices in the company.
Jesica is a native Californian, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley.
